Parr 2819 Pellet Press with 3.0 mm Punch and Die Set
The Parr 2819 Pellet Press provides a convenient means for compressing powdered materials into pellet or tablet form without a heavy investment in expensive tablet-making machinery. It is a compact, hand-operated press that can be used anywhere in the laboratory, requiring very little bench space and no fixed mounting, producing uniform pellets in a polished stainless steel die and ejecting them smoothly into a stainless receiver without danger of contamination.
Pellet making in 4 easy steps
Easy to clean
Compressive force from lever provides mechanical advantage up to a 50 to 1 ratio
Anvil rotation allows to raise or lower the die so that pellets can be produced with any desired thickness using the maximum force of the press
Die adjustment enables light or fluffy materials to be pressed easily
Variable anvil setting allows for adjusting the amount of pressure applied to the pellet
Fixed anvil setting allows for reproducible pellets with equal density
Punch & Die Sets are heat treated for added strength and hardness, which gives the metal a characteristics dark color but does not alter its corrosion resistance
