EZ-fill® Vials, Nest & Tub Configuration

Through its partnership with Stevanato Group, Medisca offers this ready-to-use sterile vial featuring industry-leading EZ-fill® technology. Manufactured from Type I borosilicate tubular glass with a European blowback Fina® finish, it is supplied in a tray designed to help minimize glass-to-glass contact during handling and transport. Delivered sterile and ready to use, it eliminates washing, depyrogenation, and sterilization before aseptic filling, while amber vials help protect light-sensitive formulations.

Product Overview: Through its partnership with Stevanato Group, Medisca offers sterile, ready-to-use (RTU) Type I borosilicate tubular glass vials featuring EZ-fill® technology and the Fina® vial platform. The vials incorporate a European blowback configuration and are supplied in protective tray and/or nest-and-tub (N&T) presentations designed to minimize glass-to-glass contact during handling and transport. Tray presentations are available in both upright and inverted orientations.

    • Why Choose RTU? Ready-to-use (RTU) packaging can help simplify primary-container preparation prior to aseptic filling. Because the vials are supplied sterile and ready for use, the RTU format may reduce the need for in-house preparation steps such as washing, depyrogenation, drying, and sterilization, depending on the facility’s established processes and applicable procedures.
    • Why Choose European Blowback? European blowback refers to the specific neck and shoulder configuration of the vial and is a common format used for pharmaceutical containers. Its defined geometry provides a consistent vial profile for closure and handling applications.
    • Flexibility in Fill-Finish Processes: EZ-fill® packaging is designed to support flexibility across fill-finish operations and different levels of automation, based on the selected packaging format and automation approach.
    • Product Labeling: The physical product labeling identifies the vials as sterilized, non-pyrogenic, non-toxic, and single-use and indicates that the contents of an unopened or undamaged package are guaranteed sterile.
