This filter set is used for Filtration Sterilization which is the process of removing particulate matter from aqueous solutions during sterile drug preparations. This type of sterilization is used for drug preparations that are chemically or physically unstable if sterilized by any of the other forms of sterilization such as heat, gas or radiation. It is important to note that, since filtration does not destroy microorganisms, appropriate aseptic combination, packaging procedure and/or additional verification processes, according to the appropriate rules and regulations, must be followed after the filtration process.
