MEDISCA PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

How can I obtain product specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), or Certificates of Analysis (C of A)?

You can access product specifications, Material Safety Data Sheets and Certificates of Analysis by using the search bar on the left hand side of the MEDISCA website. To search for a Certificate of Analysis, select the "C of A" checkbox and enter the product lot number, excluding any letters. To search for a Material Safety Data Sheet, select the "SDS" checkbox and enter the product name. Additional product specifications can be found on each product page. Refer to the left hand navigation menu to easily find the product that you are searching for.

What does SE mean?

SE means Short Expiry products. These are products that are approaching their expiration date, and generally have less than six months remaining on their shelf life. There are special rates for these particular products. For more information regarding SE products, please contact your Account Executive.

Does MEDISCA provide formulas?

Yes, our educational division, MEDISCA NETWORK, has an online database of over 5,000 formulas. They will customize a formula in response to a prescription should you not be able to find the specific formula you need in our database. If you are a registered licensed pharmacist and would like to subscribe to this service, please visit us at www.medisca.net, email us at networksales@medisca.com or call 1.800.665.6334 and ask for our MEDISCA NETWORK Account Executives.

Does MEDISCA have discount rates on chemicals, devices and equipment?

Yes, MEDISCA offers high quality products at very competitive pricing. For more information on discount rates, please contact your Account Executive. Furthermore, you may view the promotions page on our site for current specials. If you already have an online account with MEDISCA, your special pricing will be displayed when you order. If you do not have an online account, please contact your Account Executive at 1.800.665.6334 for your special pricing.

Who can purchase MEDISCA products?

MEDISCA products can be purchased by licensed dealers, pharmacists and practitioners. We understand the need to prevent diversion in the industry and take our responsibility very seriously. As a supplier of controlled substances, we have a duty to ensure that the material we supply is used for legitimate purposes. To order Controlled Substances through MEDISCA, customers must have both a MEDISCA Account and a DEA Certificate. In addition, MEDISCA reserves the right to audit any accounts to ensure they comply with MEDISCA’s standards for distribution of controlled substances. In all cases, the opening of an account is subject to the exclusive discretion and sole judgment of MEDISCA. All orders are subject to acceptance by MEDISCA, at its sole discretion.

How do I obtain MEDISCA NDC numbers?

MEDISCA NDC numbers can be found on our labels. The first digits of the NDC numbers represent our labeler code, the middle digits represent the stock code and the last digits represent the size code.

Yes, as a Health Canada and FDA-registered establishment, MEDISCA adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in its repackaging operations, meeting the latest United States Pharmacopeia/National Formulary (USP/NF) and British Pharmacopeia (BP) standards. We take a proactive approach by continuously enhancing quality protocols to help ensure that our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients are sourced from FDA-registered and inspected factories which are commited to manufacture in accordance with cGMP standards.

How can I set up an account with MEDISCA?

To set up an account with MEDISCA, fill out and send us back the Credit Application Form. One of our Account Executives will then contact you to complete the registration process.

How can I place an order?

MEDISCA offers you several convenient ways to place your orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During office hours, our Account Executives are pleased to provide you with order assistance.

What is the procedure for placing orders through MEDISCA’s Online Store?

MEDISCA’s website provides you with a fast and convenient way to place orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to process an order online, you must first have a MEDISCA Account. To set up both a MEDISCA Account and an Online Account, follow these simple steps:

1) Select the Sign Up Now tab from the Account menu at the top of the page. Select “I am a new customer” on the pop-up that appears. You must then fill out and submit the required information.
2) You will receive a confirmation email with a Credit Application Form attached. Please email or fax us back the completed Credit Application Form. One of our Account Executives will then contact you to complete the registration process.
3) You will be notified once your online account has been confirmed, at which point you can begin placing orders online.

How do I track the status of my order?

You can view order tracking numbers by logging in to your account at www.medisca.ca. On the My Orders page, you can view the tracking number by clicking on the “View Order” link. You can also simply contact our Account Executives or Customer Service Representatives to quickly inquire on the status of an order.

Does MEDISCA offer next- day or same-day deliveries?

Absolutely, MEDISCA provides customers with next-day delivery services. We ship across Canada conveniently due to distribution facilities located on both the east and west coast. Please contact your Account Executive to find out if there is a special shipping plan in your area.

What are the delivery rates?

One of MEDISCA's mandates is to provide fast delivery without compromising the quality of our service. Here are our estimated delivery costs:

PAYMENT TERMS, CLAIMS AND RETURNS

What is your return policy?

In order to preserve the quality of our products, to conform to cGMP and regulations set forth by the FDA, Health Canada and MEDISCA quality policies, we are unable to accept returns on the following items: expired products, controlled substances, dangerous goods, refrigerated products, tampered products or original seals broken, damaged or altered in any way, including special or bulk orders.

At MEDISCA, we take pride to pack and ship all orders accurately and efficiently. Please inspect your order thoroughly upon receipt and, in case of damage or shortage, you must report it immediately to our Customer Service Representative.
- If damaged in transit, the carrier must perform an inspection. Do not accept shipment until carrier makes a damage notation on the delivery slip/waybill.
- Retain containers and packing materials for inspection.
- No insurance is made on shipments by MEDISCA, unless arranged by the customer prior to shipping.
- Any claim for damage or shortage must be made within two (2) working days of receipt of goods.

IMPORTANT: All returns require a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. Without an RGA number prominently on the package, the shipment will be refused and returned to the customer at their expense. We will not accept returns after 30 days. Returns are subject to a re-stocking fee where applicable.

What are MEDISCA’s payment terms?

All prices are quoted in CAD Dollars ex GST and are subject to change without notice at the discretion of MEDISCA. Price reduction after a sale is not permitted. All invoices are net 30 days from date of statement. New customers who wish to open an account must submit a credit application form. The credit application takes a minimum of 24 hours to process.
